What we have in stores is flour without the bran and germ. The bran and germ is the most nutritious part of flour and it is being taken out to make flour shelf stable. The flour is then enriched with synthetic vitamins. The last year or so I’ve spent learning how to make sourdough everything and I love it! I recently discovered I’m gluten intolerant and man has it been hard. I can’t make a good gluten free bread to save my life 🤦‍♀️ Whenever I find myself complaining I don’t have time for a certain thing I have to reevaluate and see exactly where my priorities are. Constantly taking accountability of where I spend my time helps me find the time to do the things that are truly important to me and helpful to my family. This was my first time making this sourdough coffee cake. It was almost a fail but everyone loved it at book club so it’s a win in my book! It really was so delicious!
